Hajj and Umrah upon the Sunnah
Al Huda Wan Noor organises Hajj and Umrah groups strictly according to the Qur-aan and the Sunnah, with imams who teach the rites before and during the journey.

Umrah groups
Umrah groups leave during the year. Dates are announced on Facebook and on the home page when they open.

Al Huda Wan Noor
جمعية الهدى والنور
Jam-iyyat-ul-Huda Wan-Noor (the Association of Guidance and Light) was founded in 1999 and is registered as a Trust Fund (B 157). It invites to an Islaam based on the Qur-aan and sound hadiith, as understood by the Salaf us-Swaalih. Its first aim is to spread Tawheed and to purify the practice of Islaam from shirk, bid'ah, anti-Islamic ideas and weak hadiith.
Its members are graduates and students of the Islamic University of Madinah, from the faculties of Da'wah, Hadiith and Sharee'ah.

How do I join a live lesson?
Follow the Al Huda Wan Noor page on Facebook and turn on notifications. Lessons are streamed live and stay on the page to watch later.
In which language are the lessons?
Mostly Mauritian Creole, with Arabic texts explained. Some material is also available in French and English.
How do I enrol my child in a madrasah?
Pick the nearest madrasah in the list above and call the contact person, or ask at your local masjid.
How can I ask a religious question?
Use the Ask Fatwaa page, email , or call the office. Answers are given in the recorded Iftaa sessions.
Are the lessons and books free?
Yes. The lessons, newsletters and e-books are free, by the grace of Allaah and the support of the community.

Al Huda Wan Noor (Trust Fund B 157, Port-Louis, Mauritius) keeps what it collects to the minimum the website needs. We follow the Data Protection Act 2017 of Mauritius. We never sell or share your information, and there are no adverts.
When you visit
To count visitors, the website keeps a random number for your browser, the page you opened, the website you came from, the kind of device (phone, tablet or computer) and the language. It does not keep your IP address, your location or your name.
If you create an account
An account is optional. You only need one for the quizzes and the ranking. We keep the email, full name, kunyah, brother or sister, and, if you give it, where you live. Your password is handled by our secure login service and nobody at Al Huda can see it. Sisters are only ever shown by their kunyah. Only the website's owner can see emails.
Notifications
If you choose "Tell me when it's live", your browser gives a notification address to our notification service (OneSignal). It is only used to tell you that a lesson has started. You can turn it off from the same button or in your browser's settings.
Kept on your device
Your settings (language, theme), Qur'an bookmarks, reading position, hifdh plan and zakaat figures are saved in your own browser only. Clearing the browser's data removes them.
Other services
Some parts of the website load from other services, which have their own privacy rules: Facebook and YouTube (live lessons and videos), alquran.cloud, quran.com and Islamic Network (Qur'an text and recitation), Google Fonts, and the WordPress websites of our imams (articles and books).
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time. Write to the email address at the bottom of this page and we will answer in shaa Allaah.
